It has been well over a month since being appointed to the role of the Contracting Out Coordinator. When I talked to Murray about training for the role, he basically stated for the next little while, the COC was under construction. (Sorry! No contractors needed here.)

One of the changes I hope you will see are Contracting Out Bulletin boards. The boards will provide information to the Membership about what is happening around the Division. They will also offer information on current contracts being reviewed by the departments for resources. If you want to know more about Contracting Out, I invite you to talk with your Building rep or come down to the Union Hall to see me. The Coffee pot is always on.

I will take this opportunity to thank each one of them personally for having patience, while I adjust to the role. Yes. I am going to make some mistakes along the way, but I've got a good crew, not only in the departments, but also past members of the committee who have offered their guidance. Thanks to them too.

The Term Labour Pool (TLP) has gone through a small change. We have changed the way our retired Brothers and Sisters register for the TLP and how a department brings the person on to the site.
