USW LOCAL 6166 HOCKEY TOURNAMENT
LOCAL 6166 IS INTERESTED IN STARTING UP AN ANNUAL HOCKEY TOURNAMENT. IN ORDER TO DO THIS, WE NEED YOU!
WE ARE SEEKING REPS TO ORGANIZE DEPARTMENTAL TEAMS. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ORGANIZING AND/OR PLAYING, PLEASE ADD YOUR NAME TO THE ATTACHED SHEET. THE TOURNAMENT WILL BE HELD, TENTATIVELY, DURING THE WEEK OF APRIL 5, 2010. ANY QUESTIONS CONTACT MIKE GAGNE AT 677-3040 OR 679-6274.

Update March 20th, 2010:
Tentatively we have two ice times starting April 3rd.
Ice time will start at 7pm and run until 10ish. We have three confirmed teams in the pipeline, and looking for more teams to play. Refreshments can be purchased from the beer gardens during this time.
We will update this with more info when it becomes available.
Update March 27th, 2010
USW Local 6166 Hockey Tournament The United Steelworkers, Local 6166 will be holding a Hockey tournament from Saturday, April 3rd to Saturday April 10th, 2010. The Local has not held a tournament since 1997. We have six teams competing in this year’s tournament. They are: T-1 Mine combined with T-3 Mine, Birchtree Mine, Smelter, Central Shops and two teams from the Refinery. We urge all members and the general public to drop by and watch the Steelworkers compete for “Departmental Pride!” Finals will be held at 8pm on Saturday, April 10th. We will be hosting a Beer Garden at that time as well. All are welcome to attend! In Solidarity,
