High-flying T-1/T-3 wins Steelworkers tournament

The T-1/T-3 Mine team won the A division championship of the United Steelworkers Local 6166 hockey tournament April 10 with an 8-4 win over the Refinery South team to cap off a tournament that saw them win four of their five games while never scoring fewer than five goals....More

USW Hockey Tournament
The United Steelworkers local 6166 is holding a hockey tournament from Saturday April 3rd to Saturday April 10th. The Local hasn't held a tournament since 1997.
We have six teams competing in this year's Hockey Tournament and they are T-1 Mine, T-3 Mine, Birchtree Mine, Smelter, Central Shops, and two teams from the Refinery. We are urging all members and the public to come out and watch the Steelworkers compete for Departmental pride. The Tournament finals will be held Saturday night along with a Beer gardens. All may attend.
