Date: November 14th 2009

  USW Local 6166 will be having a  Christmas Social "In Support of our Brothers and Sisters"  for the membership. The general public is invited to attend this event as well.

 The social will be held on December 12th, 2009 at The Royal Canadian Legion in Thompson. Doors are open from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

  Tickets are $15.00 each and are available through Sheila Thompson, Gord Medwid and Warren Luky. Tickets can also be purchased at the local USW Union Hall located at 19 Elizabeth drive or contact Cheryl Lantz at 677 -1700.

  We will be having door prizes and a silent auction is also planned.

  Live entertainment will be performed by local rock band "Monalith" as well as DJ music supplied by  After Dark Productions.

  All money raised from this event will be sent to the workers and families that have been on the picket lines against Vale Inco since July of this year.
