Joint Problem Solving covers many aspects or issues of a compelling nature that may require special attention for steelworker members. The steelworkers executive recognized some time ago that many issues such as shift scheduling, harrasment and discrimination, absenteeism, Compensation (WCB), Accident and sickness (A&S), Employee assistance program (EAP), Pension related issues, return to work policies and SPI's (Standard procedural instructions), needed a liason to help coordinate and problem solve with many different contacts.     Dan Dnistransky's role is an integral part of local 6166's ability to take the time needed and gather the resources available to resolve many issues for our members.      Dan was appointed as the Joint Problem Solving Coordinator.  As the JPS Coordinator, his work involves working with the Rehab Coordinator, Occupational Health Service, Workers Compensation and the EAP Coordinator to address employee issues and concerns.
