USW Local 6166 Area Representative
	Roy Leslie
USW local 6166 is fortunate to have an area representative with the extensive amount of experience that Roy Leslie has. That experience is vital in advancing the work of the Steelworkers.    Roy has been a Steelworker activist since 1974.  He worked as a Mill Wright for 30 years with Canadian Liquid Air.  Roy was elected President of Local 6308 for 5 terms, until amalgamating with a larger Local (16506) of 50 Units and was elected Vice President.     Roy also took on the role of Grievance Chair and presented all the arbitrations for the Local.  He has been an Instructor for the United Steelworkers for 20 years.  Roy is a graduate of a 3 year Labour Studies Program from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.     Roy hired on Staff with USW District 6 in 2002.  In 2004, he transferred to USW District 3 to Burnaby, BC.  In March 2007, he transferred to the USW Office in Flin Flon.  Roy currently provides service to the North from the USW Office located there.   RL/cl/cope 342     USW Local 6166 is located in District 3 - Western Canada.
